I did see "Muppets Most Wanted" last nite!
It is good!
Actually is was probably the most laugh out loud Muppet movie made so far. And by far the strangest too, and I mean that as a good thing. Reminding me of some of the weirdness from "The Muppet Show"!
I highly suggest seeing it in the theaters quick!

This Friday the new Muppet flick comes out.
Happy to see the Muppets are "back" although they never really went away… Happy to see it wasn't 13 years between movies… And happy to see puppetry as a focus in a major motion picture.
It's good for all of us puppeteers when the Muppets hit the screen.
Not only does it set the example of good work, and entertainment, but it also sets the bar high for proof of the art of puppetry.
Now we just need more puppets in things!
That's up to us, the puppeteers who use film.
And that's me.
I made a goal a few years ago. That goal was to explore puppetry as more then just comedy. And use the style of puppets I like to tell stories that aren't just comical. While we (Elmwood) make our first non-puppet feature film this year I will also be making more shorts, with puppets, exploring this concept… Horror, drama, action, all styles of storytelling… But with puppets as the actors.
If nothing else it will be fun, at least for me!
In the meantime though….

Shampayne is a rebuild from this one below… I used the same eyes, tongue, and boobies!
This is how she looked first

Then a nose was added...

An art show called "GREEN" opens today at The Firehouse Art Gallery in Milford CT
I was asked to be the guest juror for the show!
Hope some of ya can make it out to the opening! If you can't the show is up through April 4th!
I did choose to live in New England though, so I need to just suck it up and deal with it!
I am one guy you never hearing complaining about the heat though…. Can't come soon enough!

I've never seen the third "Matrix" movie.
I've never watched a whole episode of "Dowton Abbey" or "The Walking Dead". I have read "The Walking Dead" comics… A few of the early issues, and liked them.
I liked the new RoboCop movie. I don't care what it was rated. It was fun. That's all I wanted it to be.
The "Lord of the Rings" movies were kinda boring. "Hobbit" even more, and I'm a Peter Jackson fan. Haven't bothered seeing the sequel.
How come "Howard the Duck" isn't on Blu-Ray?
Tom Hanks needs to make a comedy again. A real comedy. Something off the wall like "The Man With One Red Shoe".
I think Ben Affleck will be fine as Batman.
I haven't had cable since 2005. I haven't missed it.
"Fritz the Cat" is a funny movie.
When is Frank Oz gonna direct another movie?
We need a "Too Much Coffee Man" movie.
Ben Farley invented the internet.
